WHY veneers?

A veneer is a thin layer of material placed over the front surface of a tooth, which is typically used as protection or to improve the appearance of the tooth.  Veneers can be fabricated from various materials, including composite, porcelain, or monolithic ceramic.  A composite can either be directly placed or fabricated in a lab and later bonded to the tooth, whereas a porcelain or ceramic veneer must be fabricated in a lab.  Composite restorations are the cost effective option, but are not as aesthetic or permanent as porcelain or ceramic veneers.

Should i get veneers?

There are many reasons someone chooses to get veneers,  ultimately it comes down to wanting to have a nicer smile. Having a smile you are happy isn’t just about looks. Studies have shown that a happy smile is directly associated with your overall well-being.

But, if you are still not sure, consider the following reasons.

  • You have spaces or gaps in your teeth.

  • Years of grinding your teeth have worn them down.

  • You have broken or chipped teeth.

  • You have stained teeth that teething whitening systems do not work on.

  • And last but not least, you want a nice smile!
